Over the recent years, the Great Barrier Reef has been polluted more and more with waste. Main-land based pollution are stressing the corals of the reef. Pollutions like, fertilisers, herbicides, pesticides, human derived sewage and large amounts of sedimentation from coastal land development. This mainly affects animals as many of them do not know the difference between the plastic and food. Many animals have died just because of our laziness and carelessness, just by walking that extra 10 metres could save another turtles life. The other effect it has is visually. The Great Barrier Reef used to be one of the most beautiful places on Earth, but now, as you can see in the picture, it is no longer that much of a pleasant view. Some people even say it's not worth to visit the reef anymore. So stop polluting the reef and start throwing your rubbish in to the bin or if you can, put it into the recycling bin. There are many more ways to stop pollution but this is the easiest of them all. So if u wish the reef to be a beautiful place again, 'Pollution, find a solution or our future will become an illusion'.
